With over 20 years’ experience as a Senior Physiotherapist in elite sport, Ashleigh Wallace brings a range of expertise to the UK High performance system .
She has held a wide variety of positions in the English Institute of Sport, including Lead Clinician at the Intensive Rehab Unit,Technical Physiotherapy Lead and National Athlete Health Consultant with the Research and Innovation team . These roles have allowed Ash to develop and pioneer a number of initiatives across the high performance system helping to reduce the impact of injuries and illness in performance, something she is extremely passionate about.
Ash has a wealth of experience as a Physiotherapist with Team GB, attending Beijing, London, Sochi and Rio Olympic Games
Her experience in working closely with Hockey, Rowing, Canoeing ,Sailing, Athletics, Equestrian and Bobsleigh has provided Ash with a diverse and unique insight into injury prevention and performance optimisation across many Olympic and Paralympic Sports, in both Winter and Summer disciplines.
Ash is currently in the role of Head of Sports Science and Medicine for British Equestrian and is an Athlete Health consultant for the English Institute of Sport.
